May and June Outreach

Detroit Veterans Center

The John D. Dingell VA Medical Center, located in Detroit, is more than 100-bed full-service medical center that provides primary, secondary and tertiary care.

​

Supply Needs:

  • Tube socks

  • Shaving cream and razors, shaving mirrors, Toothpaste and toothbrushes, denture cleaner and adhesive

  • Shampoo (travel size only for all shampoo, lotions, etc.)

  • Hand and body lotions

  • Deodorant

  • Liquid soap (no bar soap) body wash

  • New playing cards, crossword, and word search puzzle

  • Books (no violence!)

  • Back scratchers (plastic/wood)

  • Hairbrushes & combs

Comfort Care Items Needed:

  • Kleenex

  • Washcloths (different colors)

  • Chapstick

  • Gum/hard candy (store purchased, individually wrapped)

  • Snacks – individually wrapped.

  • Note pads, pens, pencils, crayons.
